Dark Light

#32 – On one’s own

When I was young, I was taught not to pick flowers
I assumed it was because flowering isn’t for kids
Growing up, I thought it was because of being mannerly

I used to believe that money could buy those beauties, which would make me happy
But when I was at the peak of sorrow, even if I had ten bouquets, I wasn’t sure I would be fresher

You know,
Humans were born after all universes
Flowers don’t bloom for us
They mature for themselves
Then we have to smile on our own, with flowers or not.
