  • Hi Hè,

It was 6 years, 9 months, 6 days, or 2470 days in total.

This is my longest romantic relationship until now. I do not know if I could have another longer one coming, but I did have a great time this time.

Thank you for unconditionally supporting, sponsoring, accommodating, and accompanying me through countless events in my early and middle 30s. I believe we’ll never forget each other even though I was tough with you. I know I was a mean, unreasonable, weirdo, and stubborn girlfriend. Sorry but not sorry at all… pleeeee.

Be good in any journey you take, and never underestimate your capabilities.

    Goodbye,

    Mè.

  • “Would you like to make your child happy?
Then get off work early today.
Wait for your child in front of school.
Horse around together in the playground.
Let your child choose where to go for dinner.
And shower your child with your loving attention.
On your way home, pick up ice cream for the family.
Your child will remember this day forever.”

_ Haemin Sunum, The Things You Can See Only When You Slow Down.

That’s correct. I had some forever memories like that, even though my mind is pretty blurry since I’m getting older. There was a day my Mom made stir-fried blue crabs with garlic for lunch, for a long time since the last time she made it. It became the highlight of my childhood memories. Yet I love “highlighting,” as you can see in my books, lol, some more moments that lighten up my old times, but garlic stir-fried blue crabs for lunch after school was a phenomenon. I have no idea whether my mom did that because she wanted to surprise my dad and me or because the fresh blue crabs inspired her at the wet market on her way home from the hospital. It might be because she felt delighted that day and wanted to do something different. Or it could be because it was the payday.

But you know what, Mom? You made my day that day; I could never forget that noon. Stir-fried blue crabs with garlic have become my favorite dish because of you, no matter its taste.

    Dear You,

I have no idea how long I will be with you
I am not sure if I will still want to be with you then
Our predestined love tie might end tomorrow
I might have no more desires
    Nor am I still alive
    But I am here today.

You are new whenever the trees change their leaves
You challenge me whenever you come
You never stay the same whenever we meet
    I adore you, indeed
I immersed myself in solving those bewitching hardships
Like my blood pressure drops reading your messages
As my neurons heated by reaching the time limit
Like my heart fatigued knowing you are away
Like my soul vanishes seeing you are near.

I love what comes from you
    Lessons and tribulations
    That we went through together
    Yesterday
    Today
    And the-who-knows tomorrow.

    With love,

    Mickey

P/s: I still have a crush on you, Studying.

  • Xin chào, hello, hello,… hi!

I only know that aliens are individuals from outer space. Excuse me, my poor vocabulary
Until we met, you called me an a-l-i-e-n, alien, even though I was born in this orb
Coming to you, I became an alien
Being with you, I am an alien
    Alien is strange
    Alien knows nothing
    Alien is annoying
But you do not seem surprised at all
You are so used to this
    You are calm
    You are patient
    You are gentle
You open your heart to accommodate me and my other friends,
    those aliens,
who come then endeavoring toward the privileges
    or would never return

Thank you—the promised land for anyone who wants to be changed.

  • It does not need to tickle to laugh
It does not need to watch Romeo and Juliet to cry
It does not need to be together to be content
It does not need to finish a plan to complete
Also, winning the lotto to be lucky is needless.

    I can breath
    I can smell
    I can eat
    I can walk
    I can bath
    I am happy.

    I am healthy
    I am skinny
    I am (sometimes) fatty
    I am young (in soul)
    I am alive
    I am very happy.

    I am living
    I am feeling
    I am learning
    I am experiencing
    I am so happy.

    I still have my grandpa
    I still have my grandma
    I have my dad
    I have my mom
    I have my sister
With a future brother, nieces, nephews (or none)
    I have a loving family
Where I never needed to grow
Where I am loved and supported unconditionally
Where none needs any returns but I must live happily
    So I am pleased.

    When going out there…

    I know how to love
    I loved
    I was loved
    I love
    I am loved
    I will love
    I would be loved
    I am inspired.

I met good people (a lot)
Their kindness urged me to give back
I met bad ones (thank God, not too much)
    I got betrayed
    I got dumped
    I got heartbroken
Their rudeness taught me to let things go
    And forgive (not 100%)
With this peace of mind, I am delighted.

    I am happy
    Dawn or dusk
    I am happy
    Mountain or ocean
    I am happy
    Poor or rich
    I am happy
    Health or sickness
    I am happy
    Death or life.

    I’m happy to be happy.

  • My Mom is a handywoman
She sewed baby gloves from fabric scraps while carrying my little sister in her womb
She restored a rusty wood frame to an antique cabinet
She turned our little space nest
    safe
    comfy
    loved

My Mom is a mighty woman
And I am a spoiled kid
As well as an overthinking chick
Whenever I got beaten as a kick
Only Mom can pick me up like the way she raised me fit
Only Mom can fix my broken dash
Only Mom can realize my vulnerable unreal passions
    Only Mom can aid
Only Mom can handle my mess
    By saying, I got you.

Mom is home, where we all want to come
     back
So do I, and so do you.

  • It may take a lifetime to build just to be crushed in a second
    devote, develop, dissolve
    there’s no more trace
    of passion

Then it sure takes a long time to heal
    to deal with distrust
    to yield with denial
    to
    _____move
    ______________on

Yet some never got that luck
    to mend a torn gut
to return to an undamaged faith
to be ready for another date
    with whatever it is
    simply as it could be
    happiness

  • Silently intense
    Crawl onto the slope
    Conquer the whole coral reef
Paddle the fish out of the seaweed
Bury the shells under the intimate white sand
Stir up the hidden deep sea
    Drastically

    Thy blue thoughts
    take off in a blink
    smoldering
    crush those souls evermore

As submarine waves on the ocean floor.

  • Nowadays,
    Skin can be dyed
    Hair can be faded
    Gender is dynamic
Values are adjusted – over time
Even the genome is proven not to stay the same

Addresses can be changed, of course, but the way home is one
    Where there are parents
    There are blood
    There are brothers and neighbors.
    There are root
Where they bury one’s placenta and cut the umbilical cord
Where embrace their child’s first step
    Motherland, unchanged
    Yesterday
    Today
    And forever.

  • A little bird told me that,
Birds cannot raise their wings without constantly beating
Birds cannot be far away without airflow reinforcing
Birds cannot travel for a long time without the weather urging migration
Birds cannot accelerate without prey or being chased.

Another little bird also told me that,
Birds can nest for hours to rest
And they can fast for days before a fest
Or stand on the branch with their bony shanks
    Hibernate until fully charged.

Another little crazy bird also told me that,
Roosting, nesting, flying – “two” anytime, anywhere
By releasing while resting, they would be involved in what was unleashed
But they can freely excrete wherever they want from the wind
In the middle of the infinite Pacific Ocean, the eternal jasmine rice field, or a bustling city never sleeps.
There is joy in stalking objects down there
If the bird flies, the globe spins, the target moves, and the waste is on point
    It is not just fate
But if the target stays, a good shot probably happens
    It is not any fun.

    As birds’ joys,
If we stand in one place, sh!t is on our heads often
    Move!
Spread those unseen wings, and race away from normality
Follow any weirdo endeavor that excited
Whether we go, ride a bike, or fly a projectile
A mile per hour or thousands per second doesn’t matter
As long as we widen the variable of being pass(iv)ed
Let’s narrow the possibility of reaching the unexplored
    After a good hibernation.

Keep moving, humans, a little bird says.
I fancy hunting you run, a little bird says.
