#28 – Half a Cup
My New Year’s Eve has never been so cold as this
Florida, the sunshine state, 3 degrees Celsius, I huddled on the cold floor
Vacation has been a luxury for me for the past 15 years, yet here, I had a reluctant vacation
because everyone rests,
no internet connection
no shipment
no restaurant
Was it like this for every newcomer?
maybe
So, I won’t cry anymore, I have to adapt
Expensive, everything needs money
I convert currency every time I go to the supermarket
Could I buy anything? Of course, from the smallest.
(The) only thing I must do is set a budget
Afford or not depends on the ingenuity of spending.
and of course, don’t take a ride!
Half of my time is spent waiting for the bus
A strange feeling, because I have never used a bus in my life
Cup-cakes here are so sweet, but I sweat in the winter.
You know what? Even if I could pay for an entire glass, I couldn’t find it full.
