Dark Light

#23 – Scarcity infinite

Time is scarce
Water is scarce
Land is scarce
humans, too.

Extended nights, running away
no sleep
Suspensive days, hiding
no work
Desolate never-endings
no home
Violence, collapsing
no more family.

Even when the moonlight hasn’t changed the cycle yet
Who’d imagined there were secret shelters under the modern houses
and the sunlight is only in memory

Today, those words broke like my fractured heart, wondering
is love still immeasurable?
is kindness still infinite?
Anyway, I’m inclined toward the precious boundless compassion that sustains.
